I am blessed with normal sized hands, those that can touch to make your love ones yearning for more. It also means I can buy a normal sized DSLR and spend the savings on a prime lens. This time round, I spent 4 months thinking of what brand I should buy, should I convert or should I discard this hobby (I have many hobbies). 4 months is a very short time to decide on a purchase. Talk to my cohort and they will tell you I usually take 1 year. I will spend nights researching on which brand to buy, which model to choose and what accessories to buy. I read reviews, reviews and reviews. I subscribe to forums to hear what the geeks have to say about my choices. I also talked to friends about my upcoming purchase. More often than not, I am given the "go-ahead" consensus.
I like the "Trigger Factor" Theory, It means an opportunity arises before you and you cannot miss it or rather you should not miss it. A friend of mine is going to the The Land of Kawaii. She is able to bring back the lens that will jump start my hobby. You do not find many people who buys their camera lens before they buy the camera body. I am just one of the weirdo. Many years ago, I remember asking my brother why he had bought a CD evem though he does not own a CD player. Now I know - this gene runs in the family. *IT NOT MY FAULT FOR THIS BEHAVIOR*
I can't wait for her to return next week whereby I will pick up my lens from her and start shooting. Oh, before I start shooting, I have to get the body first!
